My Area of Expertise
I have been involved in the design, pre opening sourcing and purchasing as well as hiring, training and operations of ice rinks in the UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, Macau, Hong Kong, South Korea and China.
In my current job, I coordinate teams in each of these cities with the goal of creating a full budget and timeline which we then follow through to completion. This also includes the hiring and specialized training for staff who have no skating experience, locating coaches and training them on use of the ISI recreational skating system, hiring and training of managers and providing all with professional customer service training for a 5 star skating facility. Our rinks in China are by far the most advanced in the world, and are easily referred to as luxury ice rinks.
I am founder of the Ice Skating Institute of Asia based in Hong Kong and which has more than 30 ice rinks and 10,000 skaters as members. ISIAsia is under the umbrella of the Ice Skating Institute of America based in Plano, Texas.
